Who is the Master?

The first day that I joined Aikijitsu, Sensei Joe made it explicitly clear that he would not be called Master in this system.

Jesus is the sole master of Torukukai Aikijitsu.
For the Bible says that we serve one master, and one master alone, for we cannot serve two as we will learn to love one and despise the other.

Our "bushido" code (think along the lines of the code of chivalry) ties into this tightly. Here are just two of the codes:

Honor: Good-Reputation and Self-Respect

• It is better to have a good name rather than great riches; loving favor rather than silver and gold. -- Proverbs 22:1

Loyalty: Allegiance to Master and Cause

• Well done my good and faithful servant. Because you have been faithful in few things, I will make you ruler over many. Matthew 25:21
